The dhk Group is an established business competing successfully at the highest level of the profession. We are actively participating in the development of the built environment, both locally and internationally, and adding real value to our client’s developments.

dhk Urban Concepts is part of the dhk Group. The dhk Group includes Architecture and Interior Design companies, namely dhk Architects and dhk { } thinkspace, respectively. This enables us to offer a service that includes these disciplines and enables us to utilise these skills in-house to add value to the product we deliver to the client. Each company is independent and complementary and largely operate out of the same premises in Cape Town.

The track record of this dynamic group spans some 25 years during which our reputation for innovative, yet cost efficient design, has grown into award winning and international recognition.

dhk Urban Concepts is active across the full spectrum of architecture, from the creation of new buildings, refurbishment and restoration of existing structures to urban and interior design projects. These projects include hotels and leisure complexes, retail units and shopping centres, residential developments, public and institutional buildings, industrial buildings, business parks, eco sensitive and sustainable buildings, medical buildings, educational buildings and international waterfront developments.

dhk strives to provide the highest standards of design and professionalism throughout all phases of our service, from understanding the client’s brief through to delivering a completed building, on time and on budget.

We believe that this is achieved by correctly interpreting the client’s requirements, designing solutions that integrate these requirements with the appropriate architectural responses incorporating international design infl uences, technical developments, sustainability, economic realities and the interdependence between architecture and the urban design framework in which it exists.

The dhk Group are based in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Mauritius.
